Debora & Luca - San Galgano Abbey Wedding | The Wedding Knot
Debora and Luca - San Galgano Abbey wedding followed by the luncheon at the Tenuta di Papena farmhouse.
****THE COUPLE****
"This day is another great stage of our life. We started as friends, then partners, finally lovers and now life companions. Love is that condition where another person’s happiness is essential to your own, so I promise I will do everything I can to make you happy." - Luca
"When you least expect it, destiny makes its course and make you encounter that person who you realize is the “one”. You can’t control neither avoid that special chemistry you feel towards another person; if it’s meant to be then it just happens." - Debora
Debora and Luca after that meeting 10 years ago, on September 5th 2020 celebrated their San Galgano abbey wedding, embraced by their loved ones and friends. The weather was on our side; the days before it had never stopped raining and the days immediately after the wedding were not promising well - and for this we were lucky! Perhaps thanks to the tireless joy that has always emanated Debora with her beautiful smile!
****ON-THE-DAY COORDINATION****
I was at a wedding expo “Tutto Sposi” in Florence as an exhibitor and Debora and Luca were right there searching for the last suppliers and collecting some wedding inspiration for their big day. We exchanged a few words about the mise-en-place which Debora liked so much, and I felt some sort of alliance with them. Then in January, Luca informed me about their intention to have me as the wedding coordinator on the day-of. They chose the "on-the-day coordination" package because they have preferred to plan everything and decide about the major items on their own. What they were needing is to have a trusted person-on-duty to make sure that everybody was in the right time and place without them having to worry about the behind-the-scenes scenario.
*****THE CEREMONY****
Debora arrived in San Galgano with the white 600 fiat while Luca was waiting inside the Abbey elegantly decorated with small bouquets on the Tuscan chairs and two beautiful grey terracotta vases composed with dusty pink roses, white heathers and mixed greenery. The bridal bouquet was made of the same flowers and greenery.[gallery columns="2" size="full" ids="10290,10291,10292,10293"]
*****THE RECEPTION****
The luncheon was held at Tenuta di Papena, a lovely rustic tuscan countryhouse in the uphill, run by Ginevra. The aperitif on buffet was located by the pool where you could admire a gorgeous view of the valley also highlighted by the colors given by the beautiful colors of the sunset. Following the dinner in the courtyard set up with rustic wood tables positioned in a semicircle. As table setting, the bride and groom chose a rustic design with straw placemats, cream-colored runner, aromatic herbs as centerpieces and white candles inside the jars. All romantically set under the starry sky thanks to the string lights.[gallery columns="2" size="full" ids="10294,10295"]Finally, for the cake cutting, we prepared a table with lots of candles and hung balls of tea lights on the tree which created that magical and romantic atmosphere, just like the personality of the bride and groom.[gallery columns="2" size="full" ids="10296,10297,10298,10299"]Despite the time of the pandemic, it was a heartfelt and sincere event, full of beautiful and strong emotions. I can thank Debora and Luca enough for trusting and relying on me!https://youtu.be/rWMzc7K6X9MVendors:Photography: Simone OlivariVideography: Video4weddingCatering: Aurora Catering SienaVenue: Tenuta di PapenaFloral design: Patrizia fiori e pianteMusic entertainment: Cecilia QuadrenniVintage car: Lorenzo Wedding CarsOpen bar: Salotto NegroniStationery: Tra le NuvoleMake-Up Artist: Maria Grazia BonarelliHair Stylist: Giulia Terlizzi
